Back to Bombay (Mumbai)

Reached back to where I've started my unknown career 4 years ago. Yeah, that is Mumbai. Surprisingly, landed up at the same location where I lived for more than a month 4 years ago. This is the place where people use common toilets. You go there at 6.30 AM, there is a queue. You go at 7.30 AM, there is a queue. You go at 11.30 AM, there is a queue. How horribly toilets have been given less privilege in this modern era. People are living in a small room which is living room cum bed room cum kitchen cum bath room cum washing room. In spite of nation being so huge and wide. Why people are jumping into metros? Is it because, here, there are more opportunities to earn money. After all, what about basic needs of the human life? Then the question arises, why am I here leaving a beautiful farm house behind? Yeah, many have reached Mumbai like me. Any way, this is not my place for sure. I'm spending my 'waiting move' here and want to earn my livelihood while I wait for a good...

The Colourful House

At last, we are done with building a farm house. Then what is next? Everything else has become difficult as the ground water level is dropping down year by year. There is no life without water. However, nothing ever been as we exactly expected. It's been a long time updating my blog. Been occupied with so many other things. In fact, I didn't buy a dairy for this year 2014. I broke 14 years old habit. I wanted to feel the life without maintaining a journal. Sometimes, I'm already missing it. So what? it's helping me to find my inspiration from other sources. My diary writing used to help me to stay focused on what I wanted to do. Now, I feel that I need to remind myself of my tasks more often than ever. It gives so much of satisfaction to build a house in the nature and live in it. What is the price I paid to have this? All my savings. So what? There is no meaning to the money when it lies in the banks when there is so much to do. I chose all bright and bold co...

Dreams are under construction...

Just finished quarter of my one year journey. Initially, I wanted to be disonnected completely.  I'd to come home after spending 3 months in a Vipassana Meditaiton center meditating/volunteering. I was given such responsibilites where I'd to use phone and the internet again and again. However, it was not a hinderance in my practice. Met very interesting people in those 3 months. Realised how much the knowledge gained through travelling/working was coming handy in dealing with the issues in the operation of the meditation centre. Worked so hard in strengthening my equanimity. It was so nice to see people coming and going with the graceful smile. Understood that the transfermation in every individual leads to the better nation. And everyone who is volunteering in such places are serving the nation in whole. What do you say? I've asked one of the seniour Assistant Teachers there, Q: The nation would have missed Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi, ...

Bye Bye... See You After 1 Year

Decided to disconnect myself from all the vagaries of the life. I'm going to be away from everything (Facebook, Mails and Phone Calls). Not going to use my personal mobile phone and laptop. Going to travel to various Vipassana Meditation Centers and Organic Farms. Longing for Dhyana (Meditation) so much. I'm not going to call anyone or check mails till Oct 31st, 2013. Till then, bye bye... See you after 1 year.

The Monk Who Sold His Mac

Yeah, I was excited to own a Mac Book Pro a year ago. Now, I've learned better ways to own a computer than spending a lot of money on Mac Book. And also, it is for me to shift the gear according to my speed. I sold my Mac on the last day I left the job and the island. My interests are changed. I'll improvise and adopt ways to lead a money-less life. Linux is the best option for me which will cost less. I'll go for it if I ever want to use a laptop again. I never had any preferences in terms of comfort. I kept shifting from one environment to another without owning any living standards. "Each of us will one day be judged by our standard of life --not by our standard of living; by our measure of giving --not by our measure of wealth; by our simple goodness --not by our seeming greatness." -William Arthur.

Good Bye Seychelles

(5th September, 2012) The affair with Seychelles (Known as paradise) came to an end. Reached my apartment after finishing work at 8PM and wrote a resignation letter 2nd time (I'll write more in future posts) and went to bed. (6th September, 2012) Today, the first thing I've done at my work was submission of my resignation saying today was my last day at work. I always wanted to have such freedom at any cost. The cost I've paid this time was hurting my team mates who are so close to my heart. Sorry my dear buddies, I had to take a serious decision and I took it. I'm sure you all will appreciate what I'm going to do hereafter. Everyone of you made me feel so special. In fact, you all are special. I really would like to hear from you achieving more. When I joined this resort around 2 years ago, felt saying hello with a smile to every person who comes across appeared to be a distraction. I wanted to be with me more while walking or eating. However, starte...

Family

I was watching my nephew's photos and felt little sad. I'm not part of that family. I'm not part of their celebrations/sorrows/misery. There are whole bunch of people who are called my family and yet I'm too far from them. Am I regretting for taking a decision to stay away? Not really. If I compare everything, this pain is nothing. Much of my opinions were changed after meeting a German friend whose childhood was in Orphanage. Every culture has got it's own advantages and drawbacks. Yes, statistics say that divorce rate is very low in India comparing to developed countries. It doesn't mean that there are more happy families. In my opinion, the first priority is to be given to one's own happiness. In that process, happy families are born and so happy nations. Quest for happiness means, changing partners? No. Then how?  Changing partners gives happiness is a wrong assumption. In that case, where to stop with which one? I'm only telling that there is...
