Reality...

I was asked where would I see myself after 3 years in this company during my interview. I was wondering why 3 years, it’s too long for me. I’ve answered that I always look forward and whatever task is given to me I make the best out of it. Now, I understand that 3 years is not a long and no matter how best you are.

I know it is a bit difficult task for me to put this into words. I see people working in the same level for 7 years to 15 years. I don’t mean same job, I mean same level without any promotion. In many cases, not to blame anyone else other than themselves. Because, there is no aspiration to achieve more. It is said that, “If you have to achieve what you don’t have, you need to do what you have never done before.” It inspires me whenever I think of this.

 I heard many people saying that it is skin-biased world and I don’t get back anything though I’ve been loyal to this company. What I say is “Not to get disappointed and become robotic, there will be a decision time in the future again and again. Not to blame that there are no opportunities to learn. Create opportunities and be proactive.” It is all bit difficult when there are fewer opportunities to excel. Reason being you are so and so and you hold such and such a passport.
